We have complete control over our thoughts and feelings, and this knowledge is the key to unleashing our creative potential as content creators. The ideas that bring us joy are the ones we should pursue, as our brains don't allow us to envision things we can't accomplish.

• Permission to create content – especially for Black creators
• Chasing the spark of joy that comes with creative ideas
• Controlling what we think and feel is sacred knowledge
• Content consumption shapes our reality and mental state
• Anxiety and depression are not permanent states but can be managed
• Meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness help overcome creative obstacles
• Consistency leads to unexpected benefits (101 weeks of podcasting)
• We are not made to be anxious beings or worry about others' opinions

If you know any Black creators who could benefit from this information, please share this podcast with them. Uploaded Unfiltered is available on every podcast platform, and my goal is to help as many creators as possible overcome the mental barriers that keep them stuck.

Speaker 1:

Welcome. Welcome back to another episode of Uploaded Unfiltered, the podcast in which I, your host, jermaine, interviews another content creator in regards to their journey thus far. This marks the episode. Technically it's episode 100, but on paper it is episode 99. And I just wanted to take a little bit of time. This is not going to be a long podcast because I have some things to prepare for for the big 100. But I wanted to make sure that I said this and that it stood alone in a podcast itself.

Speaker 1:

If you are a creator out there, if you're a black creator out there, if you ever thought of an idea or you had the ambition to even start creating content, that is your permission, that is your sign to continue to create content. I do not believe that our brains allows us to think of things that we can't do, and, given that our brain thinks that we can do anything, I feel like we should lean into that. So if you ever had a spark of joy when you thought about making a video or uploading a piece of content to a website maybe TikTok or Twitch or YouTube and the thought of doing that brought you joy, and the thought of doing that didn't leave you burdened or didn't leave you anxious. The first thought was pure joy. Chase that feeling, chase that ideal. Because, again, I believe we all are given ideas. We're all given brilliant, amazing ideas. It's up to us to have the strength and the courage to push forward and actually chase after that idea. Is it going to be a challenge? Yes, but depending on what your definition of challenge is, that's not a bad thing.

Speaker 1:

At the end of the day, we control our minds. We control what we think. Rather, we have the ability to control what we think, what we feel, what we let our mind linger on. We need to remember this and treat it as sacred knowledge, and what I mean by that is if we know that we have the ability to control our minds. And through my teachings and through my content, you will also know that content has the ability to control your mind. If you're not choosing what you think every day, if you're not choosing what you feel and why you believe what you believe, then you're allowing yourself to be open to someone else manipulating that feature of our mind. So if you're continually watching the same content, that content is shaping your reality. If you're continuing to worry about stuff that makes you anxious, then your reality is going to be full of nothing but anxiousness.

Speaker 1:

Once I realize that I have full control over what my brain does, everything changed for me. Yes, there are moments that pop up where I still feel that anxious feeling, but I know anxious, anxiety, depression. Those are not feelings that I want to live in. So I immediately why am I feeling this way? And if it's a reason that is in front of me, about to take my life, then I will act accordingly. But if it's nothing but a thought, that's where the meditation comes in, that's where the breath works, comes in, that's where the mindfulness comes in. To quell that, to push it to the side and be like, hey, this is not real, I don't need this. Thank you for the information, brain. But I got this. And then I calm down and push forward with my tasks, my goals, whatever the fuck I was doing at the time. That's it. Our mind creates emotions. Those emotions lead to action and the cycle continues. As long as we are giving our mind the data that it needs to produce the emotions that we want, that are going to enrich our lives, are going to push us forward, that are going to make life that much more enjoyable, then that's what we need to do Feed our mind that stuff and avoid the others at all costs. That is it.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to episode 99. It's a short one, like I said, but I got some things I need to plan for episode 100. I think I'm going to go over the two-year journey thus far, how I was able to, for 101 weeks straight, put up an episode of this podcast. For 101 weeks straight, put up an episode of this podcast. How putting up so many episodes in itself leads to benefits that I didn't. I couldn't even dream of, just things that I didn't have in mind when I was like yo, I'm doing this once a week until things come out of that and I will share more information like that next week, but until then, like I always say, if you know any other black creators out there who can get benefits from information or talks or anything that comes out of this podcast, please share this with them, uploaded and unfiltered.

Speaker 1:

I'm on damn near every podcast catcher that's out there and my goal in life, I feel like, because I know that anxiousness and depression, imposter syndrome and all of these other things, procrastination that keep us stuck, to keep us unhappy, to keep us running the same routine over and over, because I know those things are finite, because those things are things that can 100% change, that we have full control over. It is my duty, my goal and my joy to let other people know about this secret that we just ignored for thousands of years. I'm sure people know about it, but it is not taught in schools. It was not taught in my family. It's not taught unless you seek it out.

Speaker 1:

So I'm going to be as loud as possible so those who need it can get some comfort, because we are not made to be anxious beings. We're not made to worry about what other people think about us. I don't think that is the role of us in life. I don't think that's the role of anybody. I don't think anybody needs to go through those feelings and that is their life. Fuck that. I've never been as happy, I've never been this motivated, I've never been this driven to basically change the minds of as many people who will listen. So again, if you know anybody who needs that, send this their way and we'll keep it pushing. Other than that, as always, protect your mental, keep creating content and I will talk to y'all on episode 100. Alright, have a good night, peace.
