Creative journeys. Real struggles. Honest growth.
Hosted by Jermaine, Uploaded and Unfiltered is where Black creators talk real about what it takes to create in public—and stay sane doing it. You’ll hear from YouTubers, streamers, podcasters, musicians, and other digital creatives on how they built their platforms, overcame burnout, dealt with self-doubt, and found their voice.
This isn’t fluff or “how I got famous” talk. We dig into the messy middle—impostor syndrome, grief, perfectionism, procrastination, and the pressure to perform.
Every episode is packed with truth and tools to help you:
- Build your creative presence online (without faking it)
- Move through mental blocks that keep you stuck
- Learn from the wins and fails of other Black creators

Tonight’s a short, honest check-in. I didn’t feel like recording — and I still showed up. Why? Systems. Once I hit record, the rest (edit → thumbnail → title → description → keywords) flows. I’m also gearing up for December with three Advent series (Funko Minis, LEGO Minecraft, and a Pokémon TCG calendar I’ll open daily). I just enrolled in an improv class to sharpen riffing and stay flexible on-mic. Biggest epiphany this week: I don’t have to help everyone. My job is to be available to the folks who are ready to wake up, move through stuckness, and create.
If impostor syndrome, procrastination, anxiety, or grief are blocking your content, I’ve got you. I focus on mindset and fast shifts so you can get back to making what you’re here to make.

Good evening and welcome back to another episode of Uploaded and Unfiltered. Today is going to be a short episode of the podcast because you know what? I really didn't feel like recording anything. Thankfully, I have a system in place that as soon as I get this part done, it kind of goes through the process of me editing, thumbnail, description, keywords, all that fun stuff. Title. That stuff is built into the system that I have going. So all I gotta do now is talk for another three minutes and go from there. But no, I not I'm not on the verge of burnout or anything like that. I'm just tired. I had a lot of stuff to do today, a lot of stuff got done, which is amazing. But I'm starting to prep for this round of content that I'm gonna be doing in December. I usually do an advent calendar because A, it's easy daily content, and B, it's just fun to do an advent calendar. I love advent calendars. This year I have three. I don't know how I ended up with three advent calendars, but here we are. The first of which is going to be a mini pop, Funko Pops, that I might actually start in December, in November, rather. Then I have a Lego one, I believe it's a Minecraft Lego, and then there's also a Pokemon one that has actual Pokemon cards. So I'll be that one I'm saving for December, and we're gonna do a proper 24 days of opening for that one. But everything is going well. I feel like I'm on the verge of something massive happening. Last week I was on Miss Jam Good's live Instagram show, which was fun as hell. And shout out to my wife who was a member of the audience and providing questions to the games that we were playing. That was an interesting experience, mostly because it's the first time that I've opened up and talked so freely about the coaching business, which, if you need to tackle imposter syndrome, procrastination, anxiety, grief, anything like that. I am solely focused on the mindset or the mental hurdles we put up in our way that keeps us from creating content. I know how powerful our mind is, and I know how crippling those feelings could be. So it was my duty and my pleasure to figure out a way to wash those feelings so we can get back to creating, being and making the content that we want to see in the world. So doing that on our show was dope. I'm actually signed up for her improv class. I for some reason thought it was live, like in person in Atlanta, but no, it's I could do it from the comfort of my own home. I've always wanted to do improv for some reason. I well, I know what the reason was. We were in Orlando, the closest improv place that I would actually think about going to was in Orlando, which was probably like 40 minutes away from the house. I never got the mindset or the drive to actually go out there and do it. But now I can do it from the comfort of my own home, and I think improv is going to be a great way for me to just riff off of things I might not necessarily know the entire subject matter on. And it's great practice because I think it's important to remember when we're creating content, we don't need to know all the answers. We don't need to be an expert on everything that we talk about. We need to have a willing, a willingness to learn it and and be cool with people trying to correct us and not take it to heart because at the end of the day, we are just trying to attract our audience that are there for us. And that's when epiphany that I had. I have a video coming out this week. I was gonna say hopefully this week, but no, that's just coming out this week. I'm gonna either finish editing it today or tomorrow. But it's all in regards to I had an epiphany, I didn't realize this, and I I mean I realized it, but uh it's brought up to the surface now. I don't have to help everybody succeed. I don't have to help everybody see the truth that I see. I don't need to help everybody awake from their their self-induced sleep or self-induced slumber. I just need to be available for those who do want to wake up, for those who do sense that, hey, this seems a little bit off, or life should not be this hard, or why am I feeling this feeling and this thing happened 15 years ago? For those people, I got your back. I'm here, I understand, and I know how to get you through it. So that's what I'm focused on. Again, I'm excited for all the growth on the different channels. I became an affiliate with the uh Boy and Motion Company. They do the Shishibo Cube, so now I have a link that you can get a percentage off on your very own Shishibo, and that's going swimmingly. I need to jump into another a few other sponsored opportunities that I have, but everything is moving forward and according to plan. So I'm excited, and that's it. I don't know when we're gonna have another guest on the show. I've kind of digging doing these solo podcasts, even though tonight I am I'm tired. I can't, I'm not even gonna hold you. I should probably go to sleep early, but that's probably not gonna happen. I'm gonna bang out this edit within like 30 minutes, maybe 45 minutes. Then uh depending on what time it is, depending on how I feel, I might jump on stream and play some decking because I really like decking. Other than that, if you have ever thought about going to see a counselor in regards to something that has been holding you back or keeping you stuck in the same routine that you've been in, hit me up. I am here to help. I'm here to get you through whatever stucknesses that you have because at the end of the day, our mind is what creates these stucknesses. And luckily for us, I know how to talk to our mind. But other than that, share this podcast with a fellow content creator, like and leave a descrip a uh review on the various podcast catchers out there Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon music as well. And as always, keep creating content, and I'll see y'all on the next one. Peace.
